28th Ave Soccer Fields, located at 6921 28th Ave., features full size soccer fields, a concession stand and restrooms.
Pioneer Park,
located at 7240 12th Ave., with its sheltered gazebo near the kids’ climbing structures, is perfect for picnics. The park has two lighted tennis courts, a softball diamond, and soccer goals.
Maplewood Park,
located at 1246 Maplewood, is located on Maplewood Lake, making swimming, sailing and windsurfing the most popular activities. The swimming area has a sand beach and lifeguards. Facilities include a concession stand and bath house. There are two tennis courts, youth soccer field and softball diamond. The park also has nature trails and picnic areas.
Rush Creek Park, located at 7610 Bridgeport, features 40-acres of woods, meadows and hiking trails. Tucked into the Georgetown Forest neighborhood, the park has a picnic shelter, two lighted tennis courts and a softball field.
8th Ave. Community Park and Georgetown Community Center, located at 7091 8th Ave., are located on Georgetown Community Lake. The park, which rings the lake, features a shelter near the waterfront, has a sand beach and lifeguard protection. The community center, located on the north end of the lake, houses the township's recreation department and senior citizens programs.
Woodcrest Park, located at 1310 Baldwin, is a 13acre, four-season park located at the foot of Baldwin hill. Facilities include two lighted tennis courts, a youth soccer field, lighted ice rink and sledding hill.
Port Sheldon Sports Complex, located next to the county building at 3100 Port Sheldon Rd., has baseball and softball fields as well as soccer fields. Georgetown and Hudsonville Little Leagues use these fields on a regular basis.
Rosewood Retention Soccer Fields, located at the corner of Rosewood and 20th Avenues. More popularly known as Charlie’s Dump, this full size soccer field finds plenty of use during the warm er months. You will find the hills surrounding the field full of sleds, snowboards, and inner tubes during the winter months at this popular destination.
Grand River Park, located at 9481 28th Ave., features 162 acres of hills, ravines, meadows, brooks and woods. It has boat access to the Grand River, and fishing docks on the river and on Grand Lake, a five acre inland lake. There are sheltered picnic areas, and a warming hut for ice skaters snowshoers and cross-country skiers.
Hager Park, located at the comer of Bauer Road and 28th Avenue, comprises picnics areas, a ball field, visitor center, exhibit hall, trails, the Lumberman's Museum, an arboretum and the unique Age of Discovery playground.
The Jenison Aquatic Center, part of Jenison Public Schools, opened for use in December of 2004. This state of the art facility is located on the campus of Jenison High School, 2140 Bauer Road.
The Georgetown Ice Arena, located at 8500 48th Ave, Hudsonville, opened in 2004 offering two sheets of NHL size ice, nine dressing rooms, three dedicated team locker rooms, heated seating and lobby for viewing, skate sales, sharpening, and rental, a fully equipped Pro Shop, video arcade, meeting rooms and concessions.
A variety of programs are offered including: Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey, Youth Scrimmage League, GVAHA Hockey Programs, Hockey Camps, Adult League Hockey, Public Skating, Drop-In Hockey, and Freestyle Skating.
